Approach

Three aspects Fatima keeps in mind when designing
a recipe developed over time and through experience

As a garden psychologist of sorts, she combines all the information and insights provided by clients with her knowledge and experience to create stylish, practical and truly interesting gardens. This holistic project management approach and Fatima’s unwavering professionalism have secured the respect and trust of hundreds/thousands of clients over the years.

The final touches are of the utmost importance to me. When I leave a garden, it must feel like Lavender Blue Landscapes was there.

Background

Before founding Lavender Blue Landscapes, Fatima studied Graphic Design at the Ruth Prowse Art School and Horticulture at Cape Peninsula University of Technology with Landscape Architecture as her major, followed by employment at a renowned nursery in Constantia.

Since then, she has worked in Dubai, France and Australia and was exposed to the Chelsea Flower show in the UK. At the show, Fatima assisted at the Romantic Garden Nursery, a company that specialises in topiaries, pleaching and espalier.

Defining career moments and special projects completed by Lavender Blue Landscapes include designing a Montessori school in Dubai, a holiday house in Boussac (France) and an English formal garden at Silverhurst Estate in Constantia.

For me, every garden is unique and special.
